A LEADING North East restaurant, which specialises in serving low-fat Indian cuisine, is hosting a wine and curry evening to raise money for children with disabilities.
Jashn at Whickham Bank, Swalwell, has joined forces with Northumberland-based wine merchant Dennhofer to host the event on Thursday, January 26, 2012, in support of the Sunshine Fund, which raises money to provide specialist equipment for disabled children in the region.
Throughout the course of the wine and curry evening live entertainment will be provided and a raffle will be held giving guests the chance to win a wide choice of prizes and raise money for the Sunshine Fund at the same time.
Jashn owner Jay Alam said: “We are very pleased to be supporting the Sunshine Fund in its efforts to raise money for children with disabilities and hope lovers of fine food and wine will join us for a great evening in a great cause.”
